Alex Garlick, PhD
UVM Political Scientist
I'm an assistant professor at the University of Vermont. I am faculty in the Political Science Department and the Health and Society Program.
Previous to UVM, I was faculty at The College of New Jersey, a 2016-17 American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow, received a Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. at Middlebury College. Here is a copy of my CV [.pdf].
I am the author of Pre-Existing Conditions: How Lobbying Makes American Health Care More Expensive (forthcoming, Oxford University Press). See my research page for copies of my published work and datasets. At UVM, I teach courses on Congress, health politics and policy, state politics research methods and American government.
