American Political System

POLS 1300 starts with the origin and history of the United States,  before discussing the operation of national, state and local institutions, and how voters and policy interact.

Congress

POLS 2301 covers the legislative branch of the United States, both its inner workings and how it interacts with other national institutions.

Health Politics and Policy

Students in my POLS 3490 course learn about the development and state of the American health care system, and conduct independent research projects.
